The joys of breakup

At lower latitudes, most folks might call this "spring thaw" or something like that, but up here we call it, "breakup." When Margie left for Arizona, I was not sure breakup would come before she got back, but sure enough it's here.

Little boys love it.

As for big boys...

Just to be certain there is no confusion, this is not Jacob and Lavina. This is Caleb and Monica.

But I do remember Jacob and Lavina being like that, too. And now we have little Lynx happily wadding through a puddle in our driveway. In fact, I remember Margie and me being like that... and now we have Jacob watching little Lynx wade.

Jobe was running, rough-housing. Then he dove in for a swim. It didn't work out so good. the water was too shallow.

Kalib created the most artistic splashes of all.

Yes, he was wearing bogs, but they didn't keep his socks dry - or much else, either.

If this had happened in the weightlessness of outer space, wringing Kalib's socks out wouldn't have worked. The water would have just made a tube around them.

And then they were on their way home. This was Saturday night, by the way. I've got one more post from Saturday night I might put up. But then again, I might just decide it is too far into the past and not put it up at all.
