Lazy

It's Saturday. I'm feeling lazy to the extreme. I think I will take the day off from blogging. Perhaps the whole weekend. Then again, I will have my iPhone with me at all times. Circumstance could overrule this lazy ambition of mine.

As for Lynxton, he had already left to go home with his mother, but Kalib and Jobe insisted on spending the night. I shot more too – like of my grandsons at the back door window admiring a moose just beyond the picnic table and trying to fix a Thomas the Train with the wrong screwdriver. I want to post it all but I think maybe I am overdoing it with cute, so I will stop now.
Naturally, we turned on my electric HO train and sent it running around the top of my office. Jobe then went straight for my airplanes and started to play with them under the neon light. I cannot convince him that these planes are not toys but rather a prized collection not to be handled roughly. He insists they are toys, meant to be played with. And how can I who also loved to play with airplanes and still love little airplanes and big airplanes and all airplanes, stop him from doing so?
Margie had been in town babysitting Lynx since Tuesday and I had planned to go pick them up late this afternoon, but Lavina offered to bring them home. Jobe and Kalib wanted to go straight to my office. Once there, Kalib turned on my neon "open" sign. The word "open" appears red to the eye, but the neon interprets as yellow in these pictures. To the eye the frame is a much deeper and resonant blue than the pale tone pictured here.
Now I am consuming my coffee on my break, along with this raspberry pinwheel from House of Bread. It is the last pastry I can have with my coffee for a week. I lost 37 pounds during the course of my summer 2012 surgeries and hospitalizations and the doctor suggested I keep my weight there. But I have gained 27 of those pounds back. And it was a real pleasure doing so. But now the doctor says it will be helpful if I lose 10 pounds before I go back into surgery. So I decided to pretty much give-up on my pastries. Most days, I have a pastry with coffee and then I eat some bread a few times throughout the day too. But if I try to break from them altogether I will fail. I will now allow myself one per week.
