I'm pretty sure it's warm in Arizona but it's cold in McGrath

ASU just muffed what should've been a certain interception. "How was McGrath?" I asked Lavina. "Good," she answered. "But cold. Very cold – it's winter there."

Nothing but junk for me

I just returned from driving around sipping a coffee I bought at Metro just before they closed at their Saturday shutdown time of 4 PM. As I neared the house, I came upon Caleb and Mo checking the mail. They have their own address now, but Caleb still gets a lot of mail at our place.

An airplane snatched out of the leaves

Finally, the boys got up from the TV and went outside. I followed. They were running around when suddenly Kalib reached into a pile of leaves and pulled this out. "My airplane!" He shouted. I thought it must be from my collection and that he had brought it out earlier, but no, it is a plane I had never seen before. "Vitaminamulch," it says on the fuselage. It must be his. He put it atop this old septic vent, and Jobe rushed in and grabbed it quick. I'm jealous. I wonder where Kalib got it? I must have one!

Jobe's grandma looms large in his eye

Then he turned his grandma's magnifying glass on his grandma. He liked what he saw. I remember when I first saw her - I liked what I saw, too. That's why Jobe and his brothers are here tonight. That's it for this day.
