At work, with Jim's able assistance

With Jim's able assistance, I sit at my computer working and that is all I want to do. I don't want to do anything else. I don't want to take pictures. I don't want to make posts. So I might not make any more today - no, I will put up at least one school bus post. This image could almost qualify because there is a converted school bus at the left edge of the picture on my screen, beneath the airplane, but I will post another. I might yet post other pictures, too. No telling how I might feel later today. One way or the other, though, I just want to stay on this and be disturbed as little as possible until I take Margie to the movie tonight.

Tears fell but we had to go anyway

Shortly after I entered the house, Lavina pulled up with the two older boys. They got out of her car and ran straight to our car. They wanted to come home to grandma and grandpa's house. But they have school tomorrow. They have to stay. This caused Jobe to fall into his mother's arms and weep. "I want to go to grandmas house!"

It was kind of hard, but Margie and I had to go out the door and leave them. We have now reached Taco Bell in Eagle River. I am starving. Haven't eaten since breakfast.

A happy greeting from Lynxton

When I got out of the car after preparing the last post, I looked up and there was Lynx, ready to greet me.

The Daily School Bus: now they roll through my dreams

I have begun to dream about school buses. The first dream I recall came to me three nights ago. I was driving down the frontage road to the Parks Highway as it comes down the hill into Wasilla from the little mini-mall that houses Machaus Macintosh computer store and Sakura Sushi. It was dusk. From out of the dim glow of the fading sky a pair of headlights emerged and fell in close behind me. It was a school bus. Then another bus turned onto the road at the top of the hill and got in line behind the first bus. Both followed me down the hill. The next time I slept, I dreamed I was driving down a neighborhood road and saw a school bus pulled off the road. As I drew near I saw there was another bus beyond it and another beyond that and another beyond it... a line of school buses as far as I could see, all of them just sitting still at the side of the road.

I remember dreaming last night, but I can't remember anything specific.

As for this bus, I came upon it just a little bit ago about to cross the overpass to Fort Richardson as I drove to Anchorage to pick up Margie from her week of babysitting. I have now pulled into the driveway to the blue house. I will go inside and get her.

Loose coils need to become tight coils

I suppose we should pull these coils together and set this aside for the winter. I suspect that Margie already did, but some little boys got to it.
