Margie casts her ballot and then we go dine with ravens

As I will be in Anaktuvuk Pass on election day, I decided to vote early. Margie decided to vote with me. So here she is casting her secret ballot. When you pick up your ballot, they give it to you in these big sleeves and you take both into the voting booth. Before you come out, you conceal your marked ballot in the sleeve, then insert the open end of the sleeve into the ballot box and then drop it in and nobody but you sees it.

For some reason, the voter behind her did not put his ballot in the sleeve. Either the people at the table forgot to give him one or he left it in the voting booth.

To celebrate the fact we had just participated in our great American democracy, we headed over to A&W to dine with the ravens.

"Hey Bill," the one without a fry in its mouth said, "these french fries are no good for you. They will make you senile. You need to eat healthier. Why don't you come and join us at home for a good meal later this afternoon?"

The raven told me how to get there, so I accepted the invitation. "Hey Bill!" the raven squaked upon seeing me, "glad you could come. We eat dinner up here in the top of the trees. Come, join us!"

Oh, those ravens! There's always a catch!

They'll trick you every time!

Filet mignon - that's what they were having - well aged.

I wish the US good luck with the election...what i really wish for you all is universal healthcare, something i am use to from my home country Germany and my now Home Canada. It is not perfect , but i would hate the alternative. Absolutely love your Raven shots..my Favorited Bird. Have a good Sunday.
