Jobe and Kalib know how to put down an electronic device and look at a TV screen

I am back home in Wasilla now, alone with the cats until Thursday evening when Margie will return. On the drive to Anchorage, there was a news feature about the challenge for today's marketers to get 20-something year olds to put down their electronic devices long enough to look at the TV screen for a while. This is not yet a problem for Jobe and Kalib. They know how to look at a TV screen.

I do find a Saturday school bus – stuck in a tree

I did find a Saturday school bus, after all. Right after I posted the Tuesday school bus I heard the excited sounds of boys playing in the yard. I went outside and this is part of what I found. "Look, grandpa!" Jobe squealed. "The school bus is stuck in a tree!"

Jobe is wide-awake now, full of energy, going strong - bedtime.

Update, 9:42 PM: Well, every time I think some sort of solution, however imperfect, to this Squarespace nightmare has arisen, solution fades into illusion. As earlier described, I did use the email workaround method to post this image, without text, from my iPhone. It had worked the previous six times, including the accidents, tests and real posts, but it failed this time. The only thing it posted was the title. So I had to email the picture from my iPhone to my computer, upload the picture in the old, tedious manner AND add this text. Still, I will try this method again tomorrow and see what happens.

Jobe's still happy, though. He is having fun. "Look at this, Grampa!" he shouts. "Did you see that, grampa?"

Jobe slept on the drive out

Sent from my iPhone

Update, 8:38 PM: Jobe just arrived from Anchorage with his dad. He slept in the car coming out. He is walking around the house, but he hasn't woken up yet.

I sure hope I can find another one...

And guess what? When Jobe left he left with my Dusty. And an ice cream cone. I had given my Dusty to him – his grandma gave him the ice cream cone. He insisted she scrape the nuts off of it.
