Little dog charges onto Tamar, ready to barking, ready to take off my leg

I got mixed up on that last photo. I was still on Brockton Street. But pretty soon I would go around the bend and be on Tamar where I am right now. This little dog just came running out from the trees, right at me. I am pretty terrified… I might lose a leg!

Cigarette butt on Tamar Road: about to be paved over?

I am walking down Tamar Road, which by all appearances is about to be paved. When we first moved out here over 30 years ago, pavement was pretty hard to find. This cigarette butt… Will it soon be entombed under pavement?

The Daily School Bus: from another day, another week

The Squarespace nightmare continues.

I prepared cones for both of us; I finished mine first

With the boys gone the house is quiet - very quiet. "Want an ice cream cone?" I asked Margie. "Sure," she answered. I made a small cone for her and another for me. We sat down on the couch to eat our cones and watch a movie. I finished mine, then leaned my head against her shoulder. She had almost finished hers, but not quite.
